The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Ely Minnesota, a public body corporate and politic, duly created and organized pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of Minnesota, and United States of America, by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, pursuant to the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C 1437, et seq.) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development Act (5 U.S.C. 624).

The Ely HRA mission is: To offer safe, decent, and affordable housing for low and moderate-income persons without discrimination. The Ely HRA is committed to effective management with the wise and prudent use of public funds, in providing housing options and opportunities, to enhance the quality of life in our community.
